Our Founder Hayley Goodrick is a Gangalidda woman from Carl Creek in Northwest Queensland who currently resides in Dharawal, Sydney.
Hayley brings over fourteen years of experience in the education sector. Her expertise spans across various age groups, from early learning to primary and secondary schooling. Hayley's career is fueled by her profound passion for her Aboriginal heritage, as she wholeheartedly commits to sharing her culture. She inspires teachers, educators, and children alike through cultural immersion programs.
One of Hayley's primary goals is to empower teachers and educators to feel supported and equipped in understanding and supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
Hayley believes in the importance of embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into early learning services and school settings. To achieve this, Hayley regularly facilitates professional development courses for early learning, primary, and secondary teachers across New South Wales through the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
Beyond her professional endeavours, Hayley is also a parent and deeply values the acknowledgment, acceptance, and celebration of her children's heritage and culture. She believes that by inspiring and educating the wider community, significant strides can be made toward reconciliation. Hayley sees these efforts as essential stepping stones towards fostering a more inclusive, compassionate and understanding society.
